Today I am happy to release a collection of samples and sale items. They are trusty companions of mine and have been on my studio shelf for a number of months. They were developmental pieces and therefore items which do not belong to a specific collection.
They are stand alone items and special in their own right as they will not be reproduced. In this collection you will find a mugs, bowls, cups, candle holders, coasters and a vase.
Studio Updates
I have been taking life a bit slower since May's Precious Metals collection release. I have been using the time to contemplate my next steps.
I am working slowly, bringing together a new colour palette for some future A/W items.
At the end of June I completed the 3 month long Ceramic Materials Workshop "Understanding Glazes" course. This transformed my knowledge and appreciation of glazes. The glazes I made during this class will be the starting point for my future collection's colour palette.
As well as working on my glazes, I have been developing new shapes for my mugs and cups. I am very excited so far, especially with the addition of a slightly rounded base and foot. These are still a work in progress, but you can expect some new shapes come the autumn winter season.
