Decorative plate made from porcelain with inlaid words made from stained stoneware clay. The stoneware clay was tinted with oxides and stains to create different colours.
The plate was handmade over a process taking three days, before being allowed to slowly dry before the bisque firing. After the bisque firing it had a light coating of transparent glaze before being glaze fired to 1240c.
This piece is purely decorate and can be hung on the wall, leant on a shelf, or wherever else you so desire.
