Decorative plate made from porcelain with inlaid an heart made from stained porcelain. The porcelain was tinted with oxides and stains to create different colours.
The plate was handmade over a process taking three days, before being allowed to slowly dry before the bisque firing. After the bisque firing it had a light coating of transparent glaze before being glaze fired to 1240c.
This piece is decorative as well as functional.
