Decorative plate made from stained stoneware clay with inlaid porcelain words. The stoneware clay was tinted with oxides and stains to create different colours.
The plate was handmade over a process taking three days, before being allowed to slowly dry before the bisque firing. After the bisque firing it had a light coating of transparent glaze before being glaze fired to 1240c.
This piece is purely decorate and can be hung on the wall, leant on a shelf, or wherever else you so desire.
