Medium sized cup (without handle) made with different coloured clays using the nerikomi technique. These cups could also be used as a pen or make-up brush pot.
The clay has been stained using colour pigments in a custom colour way. These coloured clays have then been layered up and combined with natural white clay, to create a one of a kind set of cups. This is based on a Japanese nerikomi technique.
Once bisque fired to 960 C the cups were coated on the inside in a glossy transparent glaze before the final firing reaching 1230 C. The outside of the cups are left unglazed.
